What Happens in Group Therapy?

A Very Effective Form of Treatment

Although most people have not been exposed to this therapeutic process; it is a very effective form of treatment. When in our darkest hours, the feeling of being the “only one” can be overwhelming and may cause one to fall deeper in despair.

Safe, Confidential Group Setting

In a safe and confidential group setting, there is an common experience that is shared and the impactful interchange brings about healing. Here are some of the life adjustments that have shown to benefit from group therapy are:
• post-partum depression
• traumatic birth experience
• cancer diagnosis/cancer survivor
• domestic violence
• relationship issues
• depression
• grief
• loss
• anxiety concerns.

I have clinical experience leading such groups and I have observed the nurturing relationships fostered between group members and the healing that it brings.
